The target audience is physicians, PAs and NPs who practice in emergency departments and who are seeking an evidence-based, literature-focused update in controversial areas of emergency care.

The learning objectives for the course include the review and discussion of current literature with regard to leading edge emergency medicine topics and the provision of recommendations for practice improvement based on the literature.

Based on this information it is anticipated that course registrants will be provided with the knowledge and confidence to assess and update their clinical practice. Post-course surveys assess the effect of the course on the clinical practice of the participants. The course is considered to be an advanced program for physicians, PAs and NPs practicing in today's emergency departments.
